DIAGNOSIS

There is an old Ukrainian fairy tale about a girl who drank water from a stream and accidentally swallowed a small snake. The snake began to grow larger and larger inside her. The girl became irritable, became sad or angry for no reason. She became constantly tired and withdrawn. Her family and friends did not understand what happened to her and how to help her.

This tale deeply resonated with me. I saw myself in this girl.

The fairy tale has a happy ending - the boy who loved the girl figured out what was wrong with her and lured the snake out of her with the help of a singing bird, and killed the snake. Unfortunately, life is more complicated.
