CV

   Marharyta Zhurunova, an artist from Ukraine. Born on November 29, 1994 in Vinnytsia. Engaged in printed graphics, installation, and graphics transitioning into installation. Explores the sacred and the non-human-made. Works with themes of emotional trauma and ways to deal with it through artistic methods.

Studied at the Ukrainian Academy of Printing at the Department of Book and Easel Graphics, and graduated in 2018 with a Master's degree.  Later completed a course of study in Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts (2023, Salzburg, Austria) and Climate Adaption for Creatives (2024-25, online, Black Mountains College & The British Council).

Since 2015, she has been working in co-authorship with Bohdan Lokatyr in the field of environmental, site-specific art.

In 2019, both artists became winners of scholarships of the President of Ukraine for young writers and artists, and received a grant from the President of Ukraine.
